FusioMed CryoLipoSculpt is the next generation of fat reduction procedures that reduces the need to pursue extensive liposuction and fat removal surgery. While traditional liposuction continues to be popular choice for getting rid of excess body fat, there is now a new exciting option: overheating and then freezing the fat cells until they die with a procedure known as CryoLiposculpt. The procedure was developed by researchers in the Biotec Italia laboratories.
FusioMed uses a non-invasive procedure that consists in overheating and then freezing the fat cells to trigger the process of lipolysis. An applicator, which is placed directly on the treatment area, emits radiofrequency and in sequence cools to near-freezing temperatures on the skin. This results in the breakdown of the fat cells that are then flushed out of the body naturally.
Researchers report that this procedure does not cause damage to the surrounding tissues and bloodsvessels, and do not traumatize the nerves and bones around the area. The procedure is more effective in areas that have a lot of fat than in leaner areas, and the natural biological inflammatory process removes dead fat cells over time and causes a reduction in the fat layer.

FusioMed penetrates deepest in thick fat areas, tapering to less effect in leaner areas, leading to natural body sculpting.
How does FusioMed works?
The cells in our body react to heat or cold at different temperature levels. FusioMed uses a sophisticated applicator that vacuums the skin of the area to be treated and then performs a sequential process of intense heat (60º) and intense cold (-10º) and is able to target only the fat cells in that area. The body reacts with an inflammatory response which causes the natural disposal of the damaged fat cells. It follows a significant improvement in the shape of the body. The CryoLiposculpt procedure does not require anaesthesia or recovery time. During the procedure, an applicator is kept on the tissue for several minutes. Customers may be slightly uncomfortable due to the contact with the cold as the procedure begins, but this sensation usually goes away after the first 10 minutes or so. After the treatment is completed, customers may immediately return to their normal activities including work and exercise.
Results with FusioMed
Several days after the procedure, the heated and cooled fat cells start a process called “apoptosis” and begin to shrink. These damaged fat cells are slowly digested over several months by our body and removed through the liver. The procedure is highly effective and is producing consistent results for localized fat areas like love-handles or ‘man-boobs’, though larger areas of fat may require more invasive treatments.
How many treatments?
The majority of customers undergo just one CryoLiposculpt fat removal procedure. Some customers have 2-3 total procedures for continued fat reduction.
Ideal Candidates
The best candidate for FusioMed is someone who is in relatively good shape, but has modest areas of fat bulges that would like to remove. It’s not an alternative to healthy diet or lifestyle.
Possible Side Effects
Side effects are usually mild and related to the cold of the device which subsides within 10 minutes. Skin may be red for several minutes to several hours.
